The LabVIEW control and data acquisition system operates with one PC running Windows XP with an embedded ethernet card.
The control is based on programmable automation controllers of the GANTNER e.pac series. It allows to load the functions into the e.pac which then will run autarkic without PC.
The program implements the adjustment of all parameters of the ion source and the beamline including the vacuum system, ion beam guiding (Einzel lenses, deflectors, analysing magnet, deceleration lens system), ion beam diagnostics, analysis and parameter logging.
