The conferences in Summer: NSTI 2009, PEARL 2009, HIAT 2009
DREEBIT News returns after a short break in summer. In the last 4 months DREEBIT visited the world’s largest expos and conferences concerning nanotechnology and ion / accelerator physics including the NSTI Nanotech in Houston, the PEARL 2009 in Dublin and the HIAT in Venice – Italy.
In May 2009 the Nanotech Conference and Expo was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Tx (USA). The 12th annual Nanotech continued its tradition of bringing together leaders from the global scientific and business communities. The Expo included hundreds of nanotech companies, research institutions, and government agencies from around the world. Ulrich Kentsch and Lars Grossmann represented the DREEBIT GmbH on-site. A highlight was the Multiple Symposia on the industrial impacts of nanotechnology.
At the same time in May 2009 the PEARL 2009 took place in Dublin, Ireland. The total participation was expected to amount to approx. 100 people, of whom more than 20 were been invited experts in the topics of Highly Charged Ions, Short Wavelength Free Electron Lasers, Other Short Wavelength Sources and Optics and Ion-Synchrotron Interactions.
The last but not least conference this summer was held in Venice (Italy). The 11th international HIAT (HEAVY ION ACCELERATOR TECHNOLOGY) was dealing with heavy ion accelerators and their components, including their design, realization, test and operation.
At the PEARL 2009 and the HIAT09 Dr. Zschornack presented the latest developments of DREEBIT’s ion source technology.
With each conference, DREEBIT GmbH was able to establish very imported contacts with scientists and business communities from all around the world.
