Dreebit at "Tokyo Nanotech" in Japan
For the 4th time in succession, Dreebit GmbH represented by Dr. Günter Zschornack and Lars Großmann announced its latest developments in the field of ion beam technology at the world’s largest nanotechnology conference “Tokyo Nanotech”.
A lot of interested visitors from Japan and all over the world used the opportunity to get information about Dreebit’s new products. During the entire conference, Mr Hiroyasu Shimizu, from the Japanese Company “Mediken”, has acted as interpreter for the communication with the interested locals. In a conversation with the state secretary Hartmut Fiedler (FDP) at Dreebit’s exhibition stand, Dr. Zschornack gave a short introduction into the product portfolio and answered general questions about the company and the corporate growth strategy.
In presentations at the “Tokyo University of Electro Communication”, where the Tokyo EBIT was developed, and at the “National Institute of Radiological Sciences” in Chiba, first contacts with potential customers have been made. At the NIRS in Chiba, cancer tumors get treated with Hadron beams as at the “Heidelberger ion beam therapy center” (HIT). The possibility to operate Dreebit ion sources in particle therapy and the benefits towards ECR ion sources in that area of application drew large interest at the most renowned cancer therapy center of Japan. Additionally, various applications for Dreebit’s beam diagnostic components from were identified.
